BondLingo Japanese Lessons
We support a wide range of lessons, from 1-on-1 private lessons to group lessons and on-demand learning. We have teachers with experience in both online lessons and offline lectures and demonstrations.
For private lessons, both you and the teacher decide the curriculum, and the teacher will reserve a time slot based on your availability (usually daily or weekly lessons). The teacher will then conduct the lessons over Zoom. You can make a reservation by purchasing points, and the teacher will decide how many points for each one-hour lesson.
Group lessons give you the option to take lessons with other students or your friends. With one teacher and multiple students, lessons are cheaper.
With on-demand learning, we will provide you with over 500 video lessons taught by licensed Japanese teachers at Japanese language schools. These lessons are usually geared toward JLPT and Kanji study. The monthly fee is as low as $10, and you can enjoy on-going lessons. A confirmation test and textbook are also included in this package.

FAQ

How do I register as a member?
Registration is conducted through social media. There is no fee for this.
What is the lesson content?
The teacher and you will discuss the lesson content and come to an agreement. Lessons range from JLPT preparation courses to free-form chat to brush up on your Japanese conversation skills.
What if I need to cancel a lesson?
Cancellations can be made up to 48 hours in advance. You can get 100% of your points back as long as the cancellation is within 48 hours.
What if the teacher cancels a lesson?
Usually teachers don’t cancel lessons unless it’s a matter of emergency. However, if they do, they will make the cancellation from the teacher’s screen.
Who’s time zone is on the display time?
The display time is the local time on your device.
How do I contact my teacher?
You can contact your teacher by sending them a message from the teacher’s introduction page.
Can I take group lessons (e.g. with friends)?

How do I purchase points?
We accept credit cards (Visa, JTB, American Express, etc.) and PayPal. With our special monthly subscription, on top of your private lessons, you will have unlimited access to over 500 additional videos. These videos include lectures from licensed Japanese language teachers. You will also receive extra points with the monthly subscription as a bonus. The points are valid for 6 months from the time of purchase.
* For example, if you have weekly private lessons, you can spend the remaining days of that week studying Japanese language videos (over 500 available).
