Yokohama (横浜): The second largest city in Japan

Belonging to the Kanagawa Prefecture, Yokohama is the second biggest city by population which is a mixture of both locals and foreign residents. Since there is an American military base there, the influx of foreigners and foreign friendly places are always on the rise! There is a multitude of different industries and companies here, not just because of the mix in population, but because of how Yokohama is also considered to be one of the main ports in Japan.

It is well known for its Chinatown and other numerous sight seeing spots. Some very popular ones are the Sankeien Garden, Hakkejima Sea Paradise, Hokokuji temple, and so much more! They are also known for its food! They are known for Sanma-men, a type of ramen/noodle that originated from Yokohama. They also have a food theme park! Honestly, for a place that’s 20-30 mins away from Tokyo, that doesn’t sound bad at all!
