Formation:Noun + として
This is one of my favourite grammar structures in Japanese as it is easy and simple to use.
It can also be very useful to discuss things from specific points of view.
You can use として after a noun to express “being in the role of” or “as a”
きょうしとして：As a teacher
にんげんとして：As a Human Being
イギリス人として：As an English Person
日本語の学生として、ボンドリンゴは素晴らしいと思います。
As a Japanese student, I think Bond Lingo is wonderful.
Other Examples:
僕は経験者として言ってるんだ。
I’m saying this as someone with experience.
彼はあんなことをして人間として失格だ。
(I feel) He is a failure as a human being for doing that type of thing.
技術作品として美しいと思う。
I think it’s beautiful as a work of art.
プロとして働くのが夢なんだ。
My dream is to work as a professional.
