Kansai: Live, love, and enjoy
The Kansai region is considered to be the historical heart of Japan. It consists of 6 prefectures namely, Shiga, Kyoto, Osaka, Hyogo, Nara, and Wakayama. Kansai is home to Osaka, the original economic hub in Japan and was technically the main capital of Japan before Tokyo. Kansai was originally considered the powerhouse and economic superpower in Japan. It has two of the best features of a place only found in Japan. Mixing old, traditional culture with modern technology and subcultures, Kansai really is the best place to go to for the full Japan experience.
A few notable places in Kansai are the Inari Temple, Dotonbori, the deer in Nara, Universal studios, and so much more! Must go places are a huge part of going to Kansai, but that’s not all! Kansai is also well known both locally and internationally because of its food. A few notable examples could be Takoyaki, Okonomiyaki, Kushi katsu, Kitsune Udon, and of course, the fish!
