Onyomi = Kou
Kunyomi = Oka
it can be translated commonly as "Hill"

My way to remember this kanji is somewhat funny.
Shizuoka prefecture has the kanji "静岡",
which "静" came from "静かな" meaning "Silent" or "Calm".
And "岡" as "Hill" or "Rising ground".
I am pretty sure Shizuoka isn't a scary place but "Silent Hill" on the other hand...
